STAN GREEN Stan Green, Director of Public Relations of Harding University, also served as Sports Information Director and taught two classes each semester in advertising art. At the April meeting of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education in El Paso, Texas, he conducted a panel on "Operating a Small College Public Relations Office." During 1985-86, he concentrated on expanding the capability for producing hometown releases about Harding students. Moore, Director of Counseling, headed the Counseling Center that provided personal counselling to those students who were having personal problems of various kinds. He administered and evaluated tests given to. all entering freshmen to detect those who might need assistance before a problem became serious. He provided study skills classes to assist students in developing better study habits and weight loss programs to help students control their weight. Dr. Moore served as the secretary of the Arkansas Society of Clinical Hypnosis. He conducted a leadership seminar in Enid, Oklahoma, a stress management seminar in Louisville, Kentucky, and a burnout seminar at Crowley's Ridge College in Paragould. Olree, Athletic Director and Director of Research, filled several important positions at the national level as well as the local and state levels. He served as one of two National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics representatives to the Board of Directors of the National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment. "College students are full of energy and they are going to be involved in physical activities," commented Dr. Olree. "We render them a great service by providing a varied intramural and intercollegiate athletic program." 1lt[ DR. WYATT JONES Serving as one of the teachers in the Harding University in Florence (Italy) Program during the fall semester was the highlight of the year for Dr. Wyatt Jones , Director of Graduate Studies. Before joining the Harding faculty in 1975, he had directed the Pepperdine University Heidelberg (Germany) Program. He worked beyond the call of duty in helping Arkansas teachers prepare for the tests required by the Arkansas legislature, conducting workshops for several hundred teachers. He continued his efforts to increase the enrollment in the Harding Graduate Program. Bell, Librarian, worked hard to provide the faculty and students of Harding University excellent service. Careful weeding of the collection made room for needed additions to the collection in anticipation of an addition to the building. ' 'My hopes for the future of the Lord's church are placed in the hands of the young people who come to Harding with loving hearts and willing hands to do His will," commented Miss Bell.
