- Kiln Shackelford - Ken Shacb lford Junior Department Undergoes Changes Instead of having the usual allinclusive junior high chorus, the junior high schedule was changed this yea r so that a different group of students met every day fo r ap- - Dol'g Kilman proximately twelve weeks each. This change proved beneficial. because the groups were able to concent rate more speci fically on their musical endeavors than in past yea rs. The first group, composed enti rely of ninth-graders, had much to show for their efforts in the outstanding and numerous chapel programs they presented. Thei r talent and hard work shined especially in the pieces performed at the Christmas program, which included many styles of music, from the antiphonal "Whi le Shepherds Watched" to the swinging "Jingle Bell Boogie, " which featured an EI vis Presley impe rsona ti on by Travis Ba iley. Separated a little differently, the seventh and eighth-graders spent time in the classroom learning the fundamentals of music and singing before they actually put their knowledge into p ract ice in chorus rehearsals and a chapel program. ~ ; ROUPSMUSICGROUPSMUSICGROUPSMUSICGROUPSMUSICGROUPSMUSICGR Cho rus 333
