Focus On Spiritual Life Members of the Alpha Gamma Omega soc ial club again took their place beside o ther clubs on campus , striving to provide spi rit ual and social growth. John M. Brown, a senior member of AGO, exp lains some of the spi ritual and social aspects of his club: "I like and appreciate AGO for several reasons. First and foremost , because it consists of a group of spir itually minded men who put their commitment to the Lord and fe llow students at the top of their priority li st. Also AGO is compos'ed of members who enjoy spending time with one another, engaging in serv ice project s, getting to know one another and growing togethe r /as brothers and friends. My expectations' upon first joining AGO have been greatly surpassed as I have grown with my brothers in the club. " In the fa ll AGO sponsored an original event ca ll ed "Thanks Sing" in the American Heritage audi torium. Everyone on campus was invited to share in a 4S-minute period of singing to praise God and to edify fell ow Christians. AGO held a Thanksgiving breakfast to spend time with God to thank Him for all Hi s blessings. As induction month began , AGO introduced inductees to the club 's Christian fe ll owsh ip by going out for pizza. The party provided a relaxed atmosphere in which the new men could enjoy the company of the old members and get to know them better. The sharing with Christian brothers was expanded as AGO faced other clubs in club spo rts competition. AGO participated in club softball, football, volleyball , basketball and swimming. The competition helped the men form stronger ties with each other and allowed them to sha re with members of other clubs. J:W 1. Alpha Camma Omega. Row 1: (left to rig/It ) Scotl. Coodpasll~re.
