Harrison native Hugh Gask ill majored in art education . He se rved as president of both the Art Guild and Kappa Pi as well as being a member of Alpha Chi . Ya tes was accepted in medical school by the University of Arkansas for Medica l Sciences prior to graduation from Harding. Beth Carr of Houston , Texas, was an elementary and special educa tion major. She performed with Belles and Beaux and was a member of the A Cappella Chorus and Regina social club. She believed that Harding had prepared her for her career. "In the teaching profession, I will have the opportunity to influence the lives of hundreds of children. Harding has helped me grow to be the person I need to be to meet this challenge ," she said . Computer Science was the major of Memphian Michelle Olree. She played volleyball and softball for the Lady Bisons and was a member of Alpha Chi and Omega Phi social club. "Omega Phi is important to me because it has taught me the bond of friendship so important among Christians," she sa id , continuing, "The only major thing which would be grea t to change would be to have more students who can afford to come to Harding and share with those of us who love it so much.
