NJ Karol Cates - She rwood, AR 164 Sophomores Halfpast Half to Go Following the now familiar path to Searcy, the town whose name he finally could properly pronounce , the sophomore returned to Harding to discover that academics were a lot more important than he might have thought the previ ous year. Amazed at himself, he found that sometimes his homework took precedence over his social life no, not always, but sometimes. Friendships took on new significances as the sophomore neared the halfway mark in his Harding hour. The dorm seemed just a bit more like his home because virtually everything he ever owned fought for attention in the tiny room where he spent the few sleeping moments he could find. The routine , the classes, the library, and the cafeteria all were regular parts of his life as he became more and more engrossed in his second year. The sun shone brighter, shedding light on tougher decisions and greater purposes and urging on the scholar when he completed the first half of the growing day. ~ - Maria/III Cox
