snow skiing. The department planned a party for majors near the end of the fall semester and hosted a reception in May for graduating seniors. Marge Ryan developed a program of gross motor activities for young children who are deficient in skills of body awareness , manual dexterity , balance and coordination for the Searcy Public Schools grades K-4 and Special Education. Bob Corbin, assisted by Coach Sharp and Coach Watkins, did research on in- ,creasing the vertical jump of athletes. For the 1983 fall semester, the department had 103 declared majors and generated 2310 student semester hours of credit. During 1982-83, there were 23 graduates with a major in physical education.
