Game Night Ends Pledge Week Ga laxy and Ju Go Ju initiated cl ub activities this yea r by jOin ing forces to create yet a noth~r successf ul a nnual Banana Sp l it Sale in September. The month con t inued to prove itse lf f ull as the two clubs combined to ha ve an outing at Wyldewood September 18. This yea r's SA sponsored " Toy and Dolly Drive" was active ly entered in to by Galaxy a nd Ju Go Ju as they decided to "Adopt a Home," t hus encouraging the Chri stmas spirit of givi ng. Devotiona ls bound the c lubs in a spec ial kind of sp iritual unity. Various speake rs helped mo ld an atmosphe re of warmt h a nd growth within a nd between the groups. Together the c lubs eage rly partic ipated in Spring Sing, putt ing f orth their usual e nthusiasm . They a lso we re ab le to raise money in t he Jog-A-Thon in the spring. Pledge Week brought with it excitement, some wonderful new members and a lot of fun for o ld and new members a l ike . Hi ghli ghting t he week was a " game ni ght" at Wy ldewood where a p leasurable eveni ng and a chance to grow close in friendship was taken adva ntage of. J u Go Ju members were invo lved in all c lub sports wit h t he excep tion of football. They worked together with a good team spirit and grew in harmony wit h eac h other. Cookouts were a favorite fa ll activity and Ju Go Ju had one at sponsor Ba rbara Duke's home in October. November's Homecoming was a trea t for everyone and the Al umni Tea was held on Saturday. The semester ended with a Chr istmas party. Ga l axy's 95 percent participation payed off in volleyba ll th is yea r as t hey captured fi rst place in A, B, and D teams . A ll other sports were also a part of their program. A trip to Pi nnacl e Mountain took place October 31 increasing opportunity for close friendsh ips withi n t he group .
