Conley where the members attempted to cook a number of Mexican dishes. The Spanish Club also had an important role in the annual Foreign Language Festival at Harding. The Spanish portion of the festival included a movie and several skits performed by students and club members. Students from high schools across Arkansas participated in the event. Liz Earnhart, president of the club, said, "The foreign language department is unique because it is so small. This is the first year in several that we have tried to have a Spanish Club, and we're really working together." ~ _ Christopher Thompson For the PEMM Club, 1982-83 was a year of reorganization. With most of the old members graduated, new members were faced with the responsibility of pulling the club together again . The organization, open to all physical education majors and minors, sponsored several athletically-oriented activities. A marathon softball game saw members of the PEMM Club playing against various social clubs and other organizations in an "allnighter" on the intramural field . The club also sponsored the annual spring break ski trip to Crested Butte, Colo., under sponsor Karyl Bailey' s supervision. An overnight float trip in the spring also helped unify the young club members. A track clinic in January was sponsored by the P. E. department and involved a number of PEMM members. Member Mitzi Thompson, said, "The PEMM Club has been a good experience for me as far as my profession goes."
