- J OM Radcliffe - John Radcliffe Roy Barnes A math major from Searcy, Roy Barnes has p lans to teach on the high school level. "I enjoy work ing with children. It is fun to teach them and to know that they have learned something new. Coaches have influenced me throughout my life. I believe if I coach I would have the opportun ity to influence many young people." Besides being a member of Titans, Roy has been active in intramura ls, foot· ball, Kappa Delta Pi, SNEA and was the -_.. Married Students representative to the Student Association. Roy was also in· vo lved in Worship committees, loca l evangelism committees and youth service committees. Some of Roy's best experiences at Harding came through the interaction of students and teachers and in gaining an education with a Christian perspective. Randy Anthony Randy Anthony, a psychology major from Bloomington, Miss., wrote features for the Bison and won awards in Harding creative writing contests in 1979 and 1980. He was secretary, vice president, and 1981 Spring Sing director for Frater Soda li s socia l club. As a member of Psi Chi psychology honor society, he has plans for a doctorate in cli ni ca l psychology and a career as a counselor, "both in a private setting and through my congregation." He said that interacting with friends and associates at Harding "helped me become a much more complete person." He added, "those times - Spring Sing rehearals, mass dates to campus movies, late night bull sessions in the dorm - wi II be fond memories for the rest of my life." - John Radcliffe Linda Blackard Special Education major linda Blackard, from Searcy, A rk., noted differences in being a married student as she said, "My soc ial life has been much different from the typical Harding student." She began her education married and with a chi ld. Her future p lans include working on a Masters degree in education and teaching where her daughter attends school. linda served as secretary for A lpha Chi, and was a member of Kappa Delta Pi and Psi Chi. Lois Bell A transfer student from Onendaga Community College, Lois Bell is a French major. Concerning her future plans she said, "My husband, Jim, and I have considered doing vocational mission work in the Northwest United States or in a French speaking country as I am certifying to teach French and math at the secondary level." Lois has kept busy by being a member of Alpha Chi, Big Sisters, French club and JOY. She also served as club queen for AGO and as a resident assistant. She was involved in Northwest and French campaigns and served as assistant leader for Girl Scouts. She enjoyed be· ing involved with serving people. "Since I live so far from here I've en · joyed going home with friends who live close by and meet ing their families and friends, and also meeting and marrying my husband." _ Shawn DaggeU Who's Who· 257
