"A major goal for the club was getting to know each other on a personal and spiritual basis," stated Zeta Rho presi. dent Carol Atchley. "At the beginning of the year we went to Bee Rock and set some goals we all thought would help im· prove our relationships." In the same light, TNT presi· dent Jimmy Allen explained, "With prayer groups and club devotionals we worked on help· ing each other grow spiritually, and at the same time we strengthened our friendships. " Among the service projects enjoyed by Zeta Rho was the "adopted widows" program. Many of the members were given the names of widows in Searcy and visited them, en· couraging and strengthening them. The girls also gave treats to the children in area hospitals on Thanksgiving. The social activities included a hayride to Judsonia and a Halloween Party with TNT at the Wyldewood Retreat Center. During Pledge Week TNT and prospective members cleaned the town square, and later in the year conducted the S.A. Book Exchange. TNT claimed the VOlleyball "A" Team crown and scored high in athletic events. Teams were also entered in football, basketball, sw~mming, and track. There was also a special closeness shared between the clubs. Karla Kell, a Zeta Rho member noted, "Zeta Rho and TNT are just typically brothers and sisters, we're very close to each other." The clubs worked closely on their Spring Sing '82 produc· tion, choosing the theme ''Tak· ing it to the Streets." Other combined activities in· cluded mass dates to campus movies, hayrides, caroling at Leisure Lodge and taping all devotionals and ·sending them to missionaries abroad. ~. Zeta Rho · 239
