I I 4 Jayme Williams Clubs Assist at Sunshine School Enthusiastic involvement proved to be the cord running consistently throughout the variety of Alpha Tau and GATA activities this year. A back to school Banana Split party started the fall semester off. and a bowling party finis·hed it out. Many activities surrounded the traditional Pledge Week ex· travaganza. Following Rough Night new members of ' both clubs gathered together at An· dy's for a well deserved meaL October 17 members got to· gether and spent an afternoon helping at the Sunshine School in Searcy. As a service to the school the workers cleaned the indoor facilities and did various odd jobs outdoors. Later in October. GATA members and their dates enjoyed a chili supper and hayride as their traditional fall outing. The women traditionally hosted their Annual Homecoming Breakfast. Athletic events continued to play a dominant role in Alpha Tau activity. The spring semester ended with Alpha Tau claiming the B All-Sports Trophy and the B Softball Championship_ Their A team claimed the Large Club Softball Championship in the spring as well as the faiL The team swept the tournament in four games. eventually defeating Titans 14 to 4 in the Championship Game. Actively participating in the womens intramural program. GATA fielded teams in every area of competition . Their strong A team in Basketball. B Volleyball team and Bowling team highlighted the year. Helping to keep the spiritual life of the members in order, devotionals for both clubs were held frequently with Alpha Tau members speaking. GATA also held devotionals in the homes of various members, and also established a prayer group pro· gram. During the year both clubs strove to give their members a chance to become a little more involved. ~ GATA-219
