Well partly, but our main cause is to help, to share, to care for those who are less fortunate; the ones who can't wake up every morn· ing and go to school as easily as you and I; the ones who can't get dressed by themselves; the ones who can't do so many things in life that we just take for granted. Man, we do have a cause! And the only way we can fight for this cause is through you and through me ... But we must get after it now. We must make our presence felL" Jeff Tennyson has been given the ability to motivate, and he is using that ability for the March of Dimes. The organization's efforts range from education on prenatal care to fund raising which is a prime source of motivation for young adults such as Harding's Tennyson, a sophomore from Harrison, Ark. Jeff is one of a six member national youth council made up of college students, with each serving a one year term. Jeff estimated that by the end of his term, he will have talked to over 1,000 young individuals and raised in the vicinity of $100,000 for MOD. Jeff admitted that the spirit of Christianity is the driving force behind his entire work of "Caring and Sharing." In his speech Jeff explains what caring is all about by quoting from Zig Ziegler's book, See You at the Top: "You can get what you want out of life if you first help enough other people get what they want." Since he has seen and been touched by children with birth defects, Jeff will continue to spread the good MOD news and motivate youngsters. As he states in his speech: "What is our cause with the MOD?
