IChanging Seasons I The Final Season After a spring into the college life, a warmth of arrival for that second year, and a changing season into the middle of a major, Old Man Winter, the senior, came to the end of his road at Harding. With a Searcy winter that brought snow. cold, ice and tough traveling, the fourth or fifth year Hardlngite ready to graduate also saw difficult times. For his final go·round, the college veteran tackled those advanced 400 courses and carried extra hours to finally finish that which had been his life for the past 16 years. To some, graduate school loomed on the horizon. Others, tired of the academic strains, decided to depart immediately for the working world where jobs, loved ones and church work were to be their lot. like the inconsistent Arkansas winter weather. mixed emotions were on the hearts and lips of this graduating class. A desire to start careers and be free was coupled with a remorse felt by most upon leaving behind the friends, the good times and the familiar. " "This last year was really fun, " he added, "because you finally felt like you had ac· complished something by go· ing to school all those years:' So following their four sea· sons at Harding, the seniors are gone . . . but hopefully not forgotten .
