344 Junior Track Balance in team scoring proves effective in junior high track effort The 1980-81 junior track team capitalized on depth instead of individual performances to do well in the va riou s meets. Track coach Bill Barden remarked before the season began, "Balance in team scoring is the key to our success." The 1979-80 track learn handil y defeated the other district schools to win the 5-A Central Meet by 70 point s over the nearest opponent. Malcolm Howell anchored both the county and district wins, receiving the high -poinl trophy in both contests. Thi s winning traditi on continued wit h th is year's team.
