- CQurlesy ofPublicity Offlce Kirei Holds Sunrise Devo A bunking party at sponsor Mary lohnson's home and a sunrise devotional the following morning at Bee Rock wrapped up a busy week for new Kirei pledges and their pledgemistresses. Formal initiation was held in the Recording Studio with president Karen Scharnagel presiding. Celebrating Halloween, members planned a costume party at the home of Mike and Beth James. Parading in their costumes, members then went together to see the movie in Benson Auditorium. A Christmas party at the Carmichael Center provided the girls with a chance to make stockings for their dates and club beaux. Santa Claus made a guest appearance and passed out the stockings. For their fall outing, the girls and their dates were treated to' a hayride, weiner roast, and entertainment. Sports were also an important link in the club's unity, with many members participating in softball, volleyball, bowling, and basketball. Making grooming packages for residents of Leisure Lodge and the Jog-A-Thon were service projects which were engaged in by the girls. J.
