West Des Moines, Iowa native Clark Rou sh was active in the Music Department for four years. During this time he was vice president of A Cappella, conductor of Women's Ensemble, Outstanding Male Member during 1979-80, in A Tempo a soioisl in the orchestra and SlUd~nt Assoc iate conductor of Univeristy Singers. The Vocal Music Education major was vice president of Alpha Chi and has been named to the Dean's List. In addition to the National Dean's List. he also was awarded the L. O. Sanderson Scholarship Award. Clark has spent summers and spring breaks in campaign work overseas and in Iowa. A member of Chi Sigma Alpha social club. Kappa Delta Pi and Jntramurals par· (!cipant. Clark described his philosophy of life. Belinda Segraves was an Home Economics' major and a member of Zeto Rho social club. She was queen for King's Men social club, a Winter Festival Class Representative, and both sophomore and junior Homecoming Class Representative. "I plan to do work in the field of Home Economics, for instance as a home extensio~ agent or home economist," said Behnda, when asked about future plans. "My greatest joy in life has been telling the story I love best through the means I love best - acting," says speech education major Julie Swan. A member of honor societies, Alpha Chi, Alpha Psi Omega, and Sigma Tau Delta, Julie also was active in Dramatics , Campus Players, Reader s Theater and "His Players." She won Best Actress for her performance of Raina in Arms and the Man and was in the Homecoming play "Midsummer Night's Dream." The Bloomington, Illinois native further commented on her dramatic experiences, "Harding has provided me with the opportunity to spread the gospel through drama by participating in such groups as Troubadours and His Players." ~ichard Teixeira, an Auburn, Indiana native, was an accounting major. He was a member of Alpha Tau Epsilon social club a~d the American Studies program. Richard participated in such intercollegiate ~thletics as cross country and track. It was 10 these sports that he received the awards All-Ale, AII·NAIA in District 17, and AIIAmerican.
