I Galaxy and Ju Go Ju 4 _~~Ham It Up" takes trophy To r evi t a li ze and " get themse lve s toget h e r " as brother and sister clubs, Ju Go Ju and Galaxy began the year with a cookout retreat to Camp Wyldewood. Galaxy, with assistance from its sister club , sponsored the second annual Banana Split Sale, from which all profits helped to supplement the funds fo r the Benson Auditorium. Pinnacle Mountain State Park west of Little Rock was the site of Ju Go Ju 's traditional cookout and devotional. The club also had a bunking party at the home of club sponsor Charlene Dietrich, during which they were visited by serenading Ga laxy members. Galaxy's Christmas get-together was held December 2 a t the Carmichael Community Center. The members and their da tes were served finger foods and seasonal dishes and were entertained by a Galaxy-produced spoof of,' the Johnny Carson Show. La ter in the month , Galaxy joined Ju Go Ju for a Saturday morning pancake breakfast at Wyldewood, and Ju Go Ju's Christmas banquet was the Green Barn Restaurant , with entertainment by singer Dav id Jackson. Ju Go Ju captured the fall soft· ball championship and the runnerup posi tion in speedball. Galaxy'S A team finished in fi rst place in club volleyball competition. t'ii 1.
