Sleeping , talking, jogging, playing an instrument, Hstening to music, reading: what do all these activities have in common? These were all popular ways of unwinding, of letting steam and tension evaporate. While appearances protested that students were happy and carefree, there were times for each when the tensions built up and the process of unwinding began. The causes giving rise to the need to unwind were many , ranging in intensity from simple day-to-day activities such as getting to class on time. to serious problems such as long overdue term papers and personal crises.
