Freshmen win points in meets The junior high track team scored points in several meets. The high point man was - freshman Malcolm Howell , who placed in the hundred yard dash, quarter mile, high jump and hurdles. In the 1978-79 season, Howell jumped 5-8. Scoring points in the pole vault was Mark Story. Con tributing in the distance races was DeWayne Curry. John Fox won ribbons in the shot and discus. The juni or high season , like the seni or high , depended on younger boys. Among the eighth grade team members who scored points were Sco tt Co rbin in the hurdles, Randy Barnes in the discus, and Mark Daughety in the half-mile. In the 1978-79 season the Junior Cats won their division in the Wildcat Relays, came in third in the White County meet and second in the District 5-A Central meet, losing to DeVa lls Blu ff in the mile relay. 1.
