Student Association chooses year's theme 326 Early in the year the Student Association chose the theme "One Step at a Time" to catch every aspect of the student's lives such as better grades, more lasting friendships, and closer relationships with God. As a result we became closer to each other . The senior high was brought together for a weekend of fun at the new Retreat Center at Wyldewood, where they shared devotionals and recreational activities. Most of the school came out to watch the Faculty-Student softball game. later in the year, the Student Association presented the student body with refreshments after chapel. Tradition continued with the arrival of pledge week. Anxiety I nervousness, and anticipation were characteristic of the senior high girls who pledged a social club, Student life while excitement, pleasure, and accomplishment were to be found in the pledgemistresses. Homecoming activities as always, invigorated the school. A new tradition was started with the first alumni reunion in which alumni dating from the nineteenthirties through last year participated. Other perennial activities included the annual spring dramatic production, the chorus trips, the University lectureship, and the Junior-Senior banquet. Toward the last of the year when time was running out and there were so·many things to be done, students could count on the devotionals to restore a spirit of tranquility and give them the strength to carry on.
