Believe it or not, there is such a thing; and with the opening of the Green Barn Restaurant last spring, Harding students had another entertainment outlet. The restaurant , located in the Cloverdale Center on East Market Avenue, gave amateur performers a chance to work in front of a live audience and offered inexpensive but qua li ty entertainment to students who had neither the time, money, nor inclination to drive to little Rock. Owner Kathryn Guthrie, who gave up nursing " to pursue a new challenge in business," decorated the restaurant with plants, antiques, and yellow-checkered tablecloths and napkins. She decoupaged the walls with newspaper and then shellacked over them. Several trellises containing plants and what-nots were also spaced around the room.
