First married Homecoming Queen chosen Chosen to reign over the first Homecoming activities for Harding University, senior social science major Mrs. Rhonda Dickey of Star City was crowned queen at a pep rally Thursday night, November 8. The following Saturday the queen and her attendants were presented during the halftime of the Harding-Ouachita Baptist football game, each escorted by her father. The attendants were Terri Franks of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Nora Pierce of Hixon , Tennessee. Married to junior accounting major Keith Dickey, Rhonda expressed surprise at being elected queen: "There never had been a married Homecoming Queen before - I just didn't expect it. Keith and I were both shocked," Planning to teach American history, Rhonda was unsure , however, if she would make the teaching profession a career. "I want to have a good Christian home and Christian children," she said. "I want ~o serve God with my life. " fff;.) Homecoming "Queen 1 .
