Petit Jean Queen Bales wins Petit Jean cpown " Galaxy Queen Robin Bales became the first yearbook queen in four years who did not represent the Knights when she received the 1980 Petit lea" crown at dedication ceremonies April 28. Elected as Galaxy's queen for three consecutive years, Robin succeeded 1979 Queen Julie Weidner on the yearbook throne . "I am surprised and very shocked, " exclaimed the}u Go 1u member when the Queen's name was revealed. "She's always worked hard for Galaxy and has really supported us, " said a Galaxy member, describing Robin. "She has a very genuine personality, " An education major, Robin plans to teach kindergarten or elementary grades, specializing in reading. Attending the queen were Becky Cox and Cayla Shipp. Becky was a senior biology major from Tustin, California. She represented King's Men social club.
