Intramural jackets were awarded to the 10 women who acquired the largest number of points in sports competition during the year. They were recognized a t a special chapel program near the close of the 1979 spring semester. Rollmann received the individual sportsmanship award by vote of the participants. The club sportsmanship award was earned by Phi Delta. In the spring of 1979, Tri-Sigrna Delta won first place in major club basketball and Zeta Rho won the championship in minor club competition. Tri-Sigma Delta also won swimming. tennis and track. In the fall of 1979, Kappa Phi won first place in major club softball for the twelfth consecutive year whi le 1u Go }u won first place in minor club softball. Tri-Sigma Delta won the major club volleyball championship while Theta Psi won minor club volleyball. Kappa Phi was the victor in club speedball. Mrs. Barnes was assisted by Karen Blackman, Jessica Moore and Lynn Watson as student assistants. "It's a great program," Rollmann asserted. "I think it is run very professionally and touches the lives of many Harding women. I appreciated the program. It 's one of the best in the country. " ~ Women's Intramurals
