Omega Phi trick-or-treats with local children Reaching out into the community, the 44 members 'of Omega Phi helped Searcy children trick-or-treat in the women's dormitories at Halloween. Other activities included providing food baskets for needy families at Thanksgiving, a Christmas party at Casa Bonita and ice skating in Little Rock. Throughout the year, work parties were held in the homes of sponsors Mrs. Russell Showalter and Mrs . O. B. Guffey. Omega Phi fielded teams in softball, basketball, speedball, volleyball, track and field, and swimming. 1. ROUNDING a curve, freshman Sue Coker and John Vlahakis meet at an Omega Phi skating party. 2. Their appearance in Spring Sing '79 as "Marionettes" highlighted the second semester. The spring banquet was held March 2 at Trapnell Hall in Little Rock. The theme was taken from Jim Croce's hit song, "Photographs and Memories." Taking a backward glance is easy at the Looking Back Antique Shop, which carries items indicative of Searcy's beginnings.
