Omega Phi trick-or-treats with local children Reaching out into the community, the 44 members 'of Omega Phi helped Searcy children trick-or-treat in the women's dormitories at Halloween. Other activities included providing food baskets for needy families at Thanksgiving, a Christmas party at Casa Bonita and ice skating in Little Rock. Throughout the year, work parties were held in the homes of sponsors Mrs. Russell Showalter and Mrs . O. B. Guffey. Their appearance in Spring Sing '79 as "Marionettes" highlighted the second semester. The spring banquet was held March 2 at Trapnell Hall in Little Rock. The theme was taken from Jim Croce's hit song, "Photographs and Memories." Taking a backward glance is easy at the Looking Back Antique Shop, which carries items indicative of Searcy's beginnings.
