Eventful hayride highlights fall for Kappa Phi Kappa Phi's original project to benefit the Home for Battered Women in Little Rock was the surprise kidnapping of one member of each social club during his or her daily schedule. The kidnap victims were then imprisoned in the student center until, according to the specifications of ransom notes, ransom was delivered in the form of food and other items for use at the Little Rock facility . President Kristi Rollmanri and sponsors Kay Felker, Linda Richey and Leanna Law led the group in planning first semester activities such as making Christmas decorations and singing Senator Lightle's home located west of Sea~cy replicates the old plantation house with its majestic, stately aura and long drive lined with trees. 1. A hayride and Halloween party October 28 gave Kappa Phi members and dates an opportunity to relax, but proved eventful as one member got a concussion and eight others got a ride on a runaway haywagon. Repeating an event from the previous year, the "Kappa Philets" went to Little Rock for ice skating and ice cream from Farrell's. For the eleventh consecutive year the women of Kappa Phi took the large club softball trophy, advancing to the finals in speedball and volleyball. Kappa Phi competed in other sports as well.
