"I want to get my Master's degree and nurse's practitioner license then teach nursing while working in the community," stated nursing major, Glenda Whitaker, from Nashville, Tennessee. Offering her services to the nursing department by working on the department curriculum committee, Glenda was a member of the Nursing Honor SOCiety, Alpha Chi and JOY. She worked for a year with the yearbook staff and with International Campaigns. A member of Chi Lambda Chi social club, Glenda was twice on the May Fete court. "I feel that, as a Christian, living in the world is a tremendous challenge . . . many aspects of life have great potential when touched by a single Christian life." -Mollie Cox roelanie Wafson l) Melanie Watson of Birmingham, Alabama majored in special education . "I would like to teach in Birmingham," she commented , "in the field of special education, and to get my Masters of Education and work in administration or testing." Melanie served as class secretary for two years, and was on the Student Association Faculty-Fine Arts Lyceum Committee. She chaired the Student Activities Committee her senior year. At various times Melanie worked on the Petit Jean staff and participated in JOY and the Student National Education Association. She also travelled with Brazil Campaigns on two occasions . $t'e Ziegler l) A Iransfer from Pepperdine University, music major Eve Ziegler hopes to utilize her minor in psychology in studying music therapy. Eve participated in the Bison Band, A Cappella and Cam- I pus Players. She belonged to A Tempo ~ as well as Psi Chi, the psychology honor society. She was also a member of I Alpha Chi. She twice participated in In- , ternational Campaigns and was a member of Regina social club. ¢ Kay Williams Kay Williams , from Birmingham, Alabama, believes "all people are created images of God, and therefore contain an innate capacity for goodness. " Acting on that positive view of the world, Kay plans to enter the people-related field of special education . An Alabama Christian College transfer, Kay was editor of the Petit Jean as a senior. She made the Dean's List both of her years at Harding, and was inducted into Alpha Chi. Kay was involved in the SOciety of Collegiate Journalists and in Kappa Delta Pi honorary society. She was also devotional director for Kappa Phi social club
