1978-1979 Yearbook

From North Little Rock, Debbie Graddy came to Harding to study accounting. A four-year Dean's List member, Debbie was inducted into Alpha Chi honor society as a junior. Deborah was a member of the business honor fraternity, Delta Mu Delta, and was a two-year participant in the American Studies Program. She served as treasurer and president of Kappa Kappa Kappa social club. \I Kor~n D01JiS Karen Davis commented that her goal for the future was to, "work with a Christian publication and to someday be editor of a Christian women's publication." Pursuing that ambition, Karen majored in journalism and minored in political science, English, Bible and history. Karen worked on the Bison staff for three years and served as editor this year. She was also vice-president of the SOciety of Collegiate Journalists. Aside from her journalistic endeavors, Karen was president and treasurer of Theta Psi social club, a member of JOY, Big Sisters and the Chamber Singers. She also served as a resident assistant. • • .. Stating that "I have made lasting friendships and have become more effective in my ministry for Christ," Dierdre Gardner seemed content with what Harding offered her. Continuing, however, Dierdre commented that "I am unhappy to see many people my age wanting something for nothing.!t The Biology major from Anchorage, Alaska, was a three-year member of the Pre-Med Club. She involved herself with both orchestra and Chorale, and served as president of Kirei Na Ai social club. Dierdre acted as chairman of the Student Association Food Services Committee this past year. Jeff Earnhart, an accounting major from Cahokia, Illinois. proved himself athletically and academically while at Harding. A four-year member of the Bison football team , Jeff was also named to the Dean's List for four years and was inducted into Alpha Chi honor sOciety as a junior. He was an American Studies partici~ant as well as a member of the Reno Business Team. A psychology major and business minor, Bob Freels of Kernville , California , found time to schedule several different activities. Bob held membership in both the Psychology Club and Psi Chi. He worked with Circle K and was named to the Dean's List one year. Cooperating with the Student Association, Bob served as Movies Chairman for three years.
