~ title of this divi- c!.....b ~~n , "honors," is a restrictive one. It, of course, does not refer to a ll honors bestowed on anyone in 1979. For then, it would of necessity cover the Utley Awards for greatest improvement to John Eason and Rebecca Maxell, the Ganus Awards for the highest academic average to Tim Olree and Gail Tomlinson, the Pitner Mathematics Award to Tim Baird, and the Kinslow Science Award to Mike Moshier - all presented at the May commencement. It wou ld also include the whimsical naming of Mark Hayes and Jan Flemming as Mr. and Miss Pattie Cobb; and the Galaxy pledges who won first place with their skit, "Greased lightening." Rather, this subdivision of "Faces" is a record of those honors specifically reflecting outstanding leadersh ip and citizenship (Who's Who), general academic excellence (Alpha Chi), and personality and beauty (queens). We a ll have a pOint in our lives in which we really shine; this is just a recollection of the shining hours of those people on the pages that follow. I.
