Muncy writes chapter for state historical report Chosen by the Secretary of State, Dr. Ray Muncy wrote a chapter in the Arkansas Historical Report for 1978. He also was selected Outstanding Citizen of Searcy for 1977 by the Searcy Optimist Club. The Barristers, a pre-law club sponsored by Dr. Muncy, began visiting various law schools around the nation. Dr. Tom Howard, who was appointed to the position of Director of Institutional Testing after Dr. Bobby Coker was promoted to Chairman of the Educational Department, received the EdD degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
