Many members of this department attended various short courses held during the summer by the National Science Foundation including ; M~ . Maurice Lawson. Dr. Edmund Wilson, and Dr. James Mackey. Dr. Mackey also attended a two-week institute on energy conservation theory at Oak Ridge, Tennessee . 1.
