__________________ ill)fif0ll@__ Joe Jones fills CCPposition The Christian Communications Program gained a new assistant director in january. joe jones, an instructor in the Bible Department was appointed to that post effective january 1. His primary duty is to oversee the enrollment pol icy of the program. Don Shackelford returned as Director of the Mission Prepare Program after serving two years as Chairman of the Bible Department of Lubbock Christian College and completing the ThO. degree at New Orleans Theological Seminary. Special projects of the Bible Department this year were the Fall Lectureship in October, directed by Neale Pryor; the Preacher's Forum in March, and summer workshops for preachers, elders and wives of elders and preachers. Two Counseling Workshops for church workers were held during the summer in connection with the Department of Psychology. Additionally, plans for a large "13-in1" Workshop to be conducted in August were developed. At the beginning of the fall semester, over 200 Bible majors ate a meal at the home of Dr. jones, chairman of the department, in a special program designed to orient Bible majors to Harding College and to acquaint them with the Bible faculty and fellow Bible majors. Cailyn Van Rheenan, a missionary from Uganda and Kenya, served as Visiting Professor of Missions for 197778. Dr. Neale Pryor presented a series of lectures on "Can You Trust the Bible?" at the University of Mississippi, and other members of the Bible Department spoke at special lectureships throughout the country. 1.
