The school year started earl y for the Wildcat staff , wi th each semester producing three papers . Sports, plays , school and club act iv iti es as well as Academy goss ip were covered . The Wildcat , improved with the decisions to make shorter , but more frequent issues, and to add more pictures and cartoons, also added depth to the paper by print ing students' letters on cont roversial issues. Dedicated to the Seniors of 78, "Senior Day" was the featured art ic le in the last edition. Due to lack of funds and facilities , the Academy produces its yearbook in conjunct ion with the College . We do so w ithout comp lai nt because of the benefits received in working with the College staff. Trying to fo llow the College's bas ic format, but stayi ng unique in some ways, the Academy staff helped make it a good book . Several changes toor< place in the Academy section this year . An extra color spread was added. The sports section was divided into sen ior high and jun ior high, and comp lete coverage was given to Homecoming. The hours were long, the work hard , but nothing compares to the feel ing of accompli shment that one has when the book comes out. We the Petit Jean Staff hope that in years to come the 1978 yearbook will kindl e fond memories of high school days at Harding Academy. 1. PETIT JEAN STAFF . Front Row: Henley, Barnes.
