Junior Cats win with hard work Under the direction o f new head coach James Dickey, the Harding Academy Junior Wil dcats fought to a 8- :: season record. Although the Cats were small in stature, they p layed w ith t remendous spirit and desire as they outscrapped many taller opponents . Much of the team' s leadership came from the freshmen players, who composed all of the five starting players . One of the Juniors' biggest wi ns came in the opening round of the Di strict Tournament as they defeated the Cotton Plant Scrappers 37-Yl in overtime . Because of their excellent play, John Ed Higginbotham and Randy Ri chey were named to the AII - Distri ct team. Earli er in the year, Dale Cox received an All-County award .
