Cats place second in state meet The Harding Academy Senior High track team of 1976-77 came within a hair of winning the State Meet. The Wildcats were, however , barely beaten by an exceptional Brad ley track team. The Wild cats did enjoy a tremendous season with many outstanding athletes leading the way. David Wright dominated the distance runs a ll year, while Max Hughes did the same in the shot put 328 • Seni(M' Track and d iscus competition. Kevin Eads and Jimmy Campbell consistently placed in the pole vau lt, adding many va luable points . Many team awards, as well as individual ones, were awarded the Senior tracksters. These included wi nning the Wildcat Relays, White County Meet, District Meet , Rattler Relay at Murfreesboro, and Red Devd's Relays at Augusta. 5
