Big Sisters Big Sisters befr iended the incoming freshmen women and helped them become acqua lO [eJ wi th college life. Th ey helped them settl e into their rooms and into the routine of things. At t he beginning of the fall semester they had the Big Sisters Program which cons isted of a seri es of short sk its depict ing incidents in the life of the average college freshman woman. The Big Budd ies had a swimming party in the college pool, and a basketball party at Wyldewood 's new gymnasium. Jimmy and Ica Bailey, a deaf couple from Cabot , came to the weekly meetings which gave the club members the opportunity to use their sign language skills . The club made periodic tr ips to Little Rock to worship w ith the deaf at Sylvan Hill s church of Ch rist.
