Big Sisters Big Sisters befr iended the incoming freshmen women and helped them become acqua lO [eJ wi th college life. Th ey helped them settl e into their rooms and into the routine of things. At t he beginning of the fall semester they had the Big Sisters Program which cons isted of a seri es of short sk its depict ing incidents in the life of the average college freshman woman. The Big Budd ies had a swimming party in the college pool, and a basketball party at Wyldewood 's new gymnasium. The Big Buddies program is under the leadership of the elders of the Co llege church of Ch ri st with personal sponsors, Ri cky Barnes and Dr. Ed Wilson. BIG BUDDIES. Front Row: Doug, Ulrich. Jimmy and Ica Bailey, a deaf couple from Cabot , came to the weekly meetings which gave the club members the opportunity to use their sign language skills . The club made periodic tr ips to Little Rock to worship w ith the deaf at Sylvan Hill s church of Ch rist.
