Pep rallies. skits liven school spirit Consulting with the Student Association, the cheerleaders gained scholarships worth $50 per semester for each cheerleader, intended to defray personal expenses. Cooperating with the Bison Booster Club, the S.A. arranged for a $150 appropriation per year to the group for general supplies, beginning in the 19n-78 school year. The cheerleaders held pep rallies on the front lawn which brought the largest turnouts in school history and sponsored a new trophy to be awarded to the social club displaying the greatest amount of school spirit during the year. The squad also sold advertisements for football programs, distributed game schedules and performed skits, which were take-offs on television commercials, at pep rallies. 1. PHYLLIS WALLER 2.
