It rained here for days and days ; the sky was filmy white for weeks, but one morning, several blades of grass had sprung miraculously from the red and brown mud and the tan stubble that covers the ground as an Arkansa~ winter's snow. Nobody wanted to stay inside any more. Nobody cared for algebra , economics, or biology lab, as much as for the relief of breathing and running in outside air.
