Married couples keep busy pace with home and school activities Facing the challenges of child rearing and a household to maintain, married students looked at life from a different angle than the average student. Building a home working at odd jobs, and keeping up with studies constituted a major part of their time. Friendships and student activities were not lost, as many married students were members of TAG social club. Cooperation existed among the couples as they enjoyed playing cards and rapping with each other. Using their voice in student government, they elected Roxie Whittemore to serve as their SA representative on the executive council. New and old married students' apartments, the Harding trailer park, and off·campus housing provided a variety of living conditions. 68 / MARRIED STUDENTS
