Grade school grows, playground facilities undergo renovation The elementary school added a new sixth grade class taught by Mrs. Charles Baugh and acquired a new first grade instructor, Mrs . David Hurd. Playground equipment was renovated and repainted by the PTA to accompany the growth . Basketball courts, soccer goals, and a volleyball net were erected also . The Fall Festival - boasting a spook tunnel, plant boutique, apple bobbing, and a fortune teller - yielded a net profit of $500. In April the entire school traveled to Little Rock to view exhibits in the Bicentennial Freedom Train. The train contained original government . documents, historical displays , and American artifacts . Students also collected and redeemed soup labels for Bicentennial articles and for a gift for Superintendent Perry Mason. 336 / ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
