• Wildcat Harriers win State Class B meet, train for spring track For the first time in the history of Harding Academy, the Wildcat cross country team finished as champions in the State Class B Cross Country Meet. The meet, held at the Searcy Country Club, covered a two and one·half mile course. The 'Cats placed four out of their seven men in the top ten finishers , with Charles Murphy placing second. Lacking depth in the sprints, the Senior High track team was strong in distance races and field events. The distance runners trained through the winter for the first time, building speed and endurance for the spring track season. The 'Cats also fielded par· ticipants in the State Decathlon, which was held during the summer. 332 / SENIOR TRACK I CROSS COUNTRY
