S.A. sponsors mixer to greet newcomers, helps needy persons With a desire to make newcomers fee1 at home, the Student Association hosted a mixer for all students August 11. Soft drinks , cookies, and homemade ice cream were served on the playground while students got acquainted with each other. Throughout the year at random, the S.A. sponsored devotionals at Mr. Joe Webb's barn for both Junior and Senior High students. Mr. Ed Land spoke on the nearness of God, Mr. Willie Franklin and a group of his friends sang, and senior boys shared their thoughts on certain scriptures, each at separate devotionals. A Christmas party in the library on December 7 raised food for needy persons. Admission to the party was a can of food or some amount of money. 1. SA OFFICERS.
