Senior chorus shifts to recording studio, tours St. Louis area Forced out of its old rehearsal room by its doubled size, the SO-member Senior High Chorus moved to the college's recording studio. While touring the St. Louis area, 42 members sang at local congregations and visited the zoo and art museum in Forest Park. In a combined choral festival with several Christian colleges, the chorus rehearsed with clinician George Lynn on January 8 and 9. The 40-melJlber Junior High Chorus gave programs for Christmas, parents, and the Booster Club. Two Academy students played in the 55-member Harding Symphony Orchestra. First violinist Anne Hamilton served as concert mistress, and Melinda Verkler played second violin. The premier performance of the orchestra was the Christmas production of Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite." Throughout the year, five Academy students performed with the Harding Bison Band. During the first semester they played at football games, at the dedication of the Olen Hendrix building, and at a Christmas concert. 1. JUNIOR HIGH CHORUS. FIRST ROW: Daughety, E.
