Circle K supports Scouts, Republicans promote politics Circle K, newly formed this year as a collegiate service organization, held concern for both the college and the surrounding community_ Members participated in the March of Dimes and Muscular Dystrophy drives , and were active supporters of the Searcy Boy Scout program. In February, the group hosted the Southern District training session with guest speaker Gary Steffes, Governor of the Missouri-Arkansas Executive Board. Members of the Private Enterprise Institute Team travelled to Oklahoma Christian College in Oklahoma City in January to participate in a competition sponsored by the American Citizenship Center. In the competition, called "students for Private Enterprise," the relationship of pro capitalism and the community was presented. The College Republicans of Arkansas worked to further the interests and political beliefs of its members and to promote greater understanding about issues of public policy. The major activity was the carrying out of a campus-wide Citizenship Awareness program.
