Groups serve others, experience debates, show theatrical skill In their effort to help spread the gospel, Dactylology Club members visited congregations in both Cabot and Cave City, Arkansas each Sunday, interpreting the church services for the deaf. In the spring the group toured the School for the Deaf in Little Rock, attempting to learn how to increase the effectiveness of their work with the deaf. Endeavoring to draw themselves closer to their "little brothers," the Big Brothers sponsored outdoor activities during the year. The fall schedule included a camp-out at Wyldewood in October, a swimming party in early November, and a Christmas party. Before the fall semester began, the Big Sisters went to work writing letters to the incoming freshman girls. As the new girls arrived on campus, their Big Sisters helped them move in arid get settled into the college routine. In the fall , KHCA introduced a monthly feature program to spotlight popular rock groups. Among the personalities KHCA interviewed were Kurt Klippstatter, Arkansas Symphony Orchestra conductor, Dr. Zelma Green, a noted psychologist, and Robert Pierpoint, Washington correspondent. The Debate Squad participated in debates at universities and colleges across the nation. The squad won first place sweepstakes at Louisiana Tech and seventh place at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. Members of Campus Players participated in the two major productions, "Annie Get Your Gun" and "The Cherry Orchard." 230 / SERVICE GROUPS
