Gospel is spread at home and abroad by devoted students The Timothy Club, made up of Bible and Missions majors. worked in the community to meet the needs of individuals both on campus and off. Committees were formed to visit those confined to hospitals and jails and other committees worked with new Christians in Bible studies. Joy, whose theme was Jesus first, others second, yourself last , strived to serve the Lord in many ways on campus and in the surrounding community. The club sponsored devotionals entitled "Be Ye Perfect," " She Hath Done What She Could," and "The Imperishable Jewel." These featured community and college women speakers. Students gave six to nine weeks of the summer vacation to spread the gospel through 14 Northeastern cities on the North east Campaigns. Knocking on doors and teaching home Bible studies constituted the major work of the campaigners . The Northwest Campaigns, initiated in the summer of 1974, carried the gospel to five Northwestern states. Students worked in the campaigns by assisting congregations during gospel meetings, knocking on doors and holding home Bible studies. The Conquerors spread enthusiasm and guidance for Christian living to young people by conducting youth rallies in six Arkansas and Oklahoma cities. 228 / RELIGIOUS GROUPS • • • • I' • •
