" History, business, English students honored by societies Phi Alpha Theta, international history honor organization, held monthly meetings in which students and faculty presented papers and ideas for discussion, The group participated in a national convention in December and a regiorial meeting in the spring, Honorary fraternity for business and economics majors , Delta Mu Delta , was open to all juniors and seniors with at least a 3,2 cumulative grade point average. English honorary society, Sigma Tau Delta, ind ucted several faculty members as well as students into the group in the fall, Later in the semester the group enjoyed a program on literary criticism presented by Dr, Cleveland of the English department. In the spring, delegates represented the college at the national Sigma Tau Delta convention in Oxford, Mississippi. 1. PHI ALPHA THETA. FIRST ROW: Dowdy, Gallman, S. O'Keefe, M. O'Keefe, Ramsey. Ulrey, Johnson, Campbell, Hinds, Brenneman, Whittemore, Jones. SECOND ROW: Horsman, Seim, McFadden, A. Ulrey, Phillips, Organ, Elliott, McHaney.
