First Class rating awarded by ACP to Spring '75 Bison The 1975 spring semester entry of the Bison was awarded a First Class rating by the Associated Collegiate Press. Three marks of distinction were earned in content and coverage, writing and editing. and editorial leadership. Lengthening each issue of the 197576 Bison gave students more insight on current happenings and informed them better of news on campus. The staff strove to cover more vital news and relate national issues to the campus. A more extensive use of double page spreads and in-depth interviews gave a more complete representation of campus life. The " Facts in Focus" section became an important part of the paper by offering news of future happenings along with current news. Students and others often took advantage of the opportunity given them by "Feedback" and wrote letters to the editor on various issues concerning school activities. Members of the Bison staff participated in the ACP/NCCPA convention in St. Louis in November and the ACPA workshop in Little Rock in October. 2 .. 210 / STUDENT PUBLICATIONS " ..
