1975-1976 Yearbook

Workshops attended by staffers, 75 book wins All-American Eight members of the Petitjean staff traveled to Little Rock for a workshop sponsored by the Arkansas College Publications Association. The 1975 Petit Jean was awarded an AllAmerican rating by the ACPA. This gave the Petit Jean its 16th consecutive All-American rating. The book also won first place in copy and photography. Editor Andrea Mannen, assistant editor Kim Moss, and advisor Dr. Joseph Pryor participated in the Associated Collegiate Press convention held in' St. Louis, Missouri, in October. Dr. Pryor led a group session on "Yearbooks - Treasures of Undergraduate Years." Changes in the 1976 Petit Jean were evident in the modified layouts, the extensive use of line work, and special effects in the form of screens and duotones. With the theme, "A New Beginning," the book attempted to cover all aspects of campus life by using more candid photos. Covering the first half of the Bicentennial year the book endeavored to capture the 'Spirit of '76.' 208 / STUDENT PUBLICATIONS
